Legrand rated “A” by CDP: climate excellence at the core of Its strategy
For the second consecutive year, Legrand has been awarded the prestigious “A” rating by CDP, underscoring the effectiveness of its commitment to combating climate change and the mobilization of its teams worldwide. This distinction confirms the strength of its CSR strategy and the relevance of its actions to reduce its environmental impact.
International recognition for Legrand’s governance and climate commitment
This international recognition highlights Legrand’s consistency in the quality of its governance, its strategy, and its initiatives to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions. On this occasion, Benoît Coquart, Legrand’s Chief Executive Officer, stated: “This distinction illustrates the importance of our strategy focused on sustainable performance and anticipating major environmental challenges. Maintaining this level of ambition is crucial: we must accelerate our actions and innovate relentlessly to meet climate challenges and sustainably preserve resources.”
Strong commitments to reducing emissions and managing resources responsibly
For more than 20 years, the Group has been implementing ambitious CSR Roadmaps, which have notably enabled a significant reduction in the Group’s environmental impact. A concrete example is the reduction of Legrand’s Scope 1 and 2 emissions by more than 50% between 2022 and 2024. This momentum goes hand in hand with the development of innovative solutions for its customers, helping them improve their energy efficiency and reduce their own consumption.
“Being included in CDP’s Climate A List comes with responsibility. This recognition confirms the scope of our commitment and the strength of our actions in favor of sustainable performance. Water management, for which we maintain a B rating, remains a challenge ahead, and we will continue to innovate and mobilize all our stakeholders to reduce our impacts and preserve resources,” emphasized Virginie Gatin, Executive VP CSR.
