Do you recommend using three-phase or single-phase busways for data centers?
In the market, we do not see many single-phase busway requests. There are some niche applications where single-phase might be used, such as low-power retail deployments, but for data centers, three-phase is by far the most efficient choice. Three-phase busways optimize power distribution and ensure balanced loads across multiple racks.
Additionally, three-phase systems allow for better load balancing. Tap-offs can be designed for either single-phase or three-phase loads, and each tap-off can be assigned to a specific phase to distribute power evenly. This prevents overloading one phase while underutilizing another.
