Is the implementation of busways in smaller data centers as efficient as in hyperscale facilities?
Every data center is unique. You can't compare a colocation facility to a hyperscale data center in terms of power demand and design requirements. However, regardless of size, busways offer efficiency, flexibility, and scalability.
For a small data center, a busway can be just as efficient as in a hyperscale facility. Even though a hyperscale might install hundreds or thousands of meters of busway, a smaller facility could have just a 20-meter run and still benefit significantly from the modularity and ease of expansion.
In smaller data centers, cable management can be a major challenge. With limited space, running traditional cables and whips can quickly become inefficient. A busway eliminates this issue by centralizing power distribution overhead, reducing clutter, and making future upgrades or modifications much simpler. So, while the scale is different, the efficiency remains just as high.
