What are the latest advancements in busway technology?
Advancements in busway technology are closely linked to industry trends. Right now, key factors driving innovation include the need for high-density AI compute, which in turn demands larger capacity tap-offs. This leads to developments focused on reducing energy loss and increasing efficiency.
In terms of amperage, our Starline product currently supports up to 1,250 amps. However, our R&D team is actively developing even higher-amperage busway systems to support high-density rack deployments. Along with this increase in power capacity, safety remains a priority.
Our system complies with all international live-insertion standards. However, we've developed a remote actuator for high-temperature applications or environments where operators need to maintain a safe distance from potential arc flash events. This allows users to mechanically connect the tap-off unit while ensuring electrical connections occur at a safe distance, reducing exposure to hazards.
Other innovations include enhanced power monitoring solutions. For example, our newly released M70 series provides real-time insights into load distribution and power efficiency. These improvements make busway systems more reliable and adaptable to the evolving needs of data centers.
