Nexpand Extension Kit
The IT equipment in a data center is constantly changing to meet evolving needs. The need for increased power density, better cooling, server upgrades, etc., can all impact the space available in your cabinet. Reduced space can cause issues with cable management or PDU mounting, resulting in undesired hot spots, or you may find your equipment no longer fits your current cabinet footprint.
The Nexpand cabinet offers you a future-proofed solution. The extension kit allows you to increase your cabinet depth by up to 400 mm extra, enabling your equipment and cabling to remain intact and to install deeper equipment, meaning you don't need to replace your cabinet when your equipment changes!
Extend your cabinet depth
Each extension kit can add 100 mm per side or 200mm if you stack two kits together.
When using two extension kits at the front and two at the rear, you can add an extra 400 mm to your cabinet depth!
Adaptable vertical mounting rails (VMRs)
So your equipment can benefit from the increased cabinet depth, VMRs can also be installed on the extension kits, giving you the flexibility to position your equipment exactly where you need it.
Cable entry points
Each extension kit features one cable entry point on each side to facilitate routing the cables in and out of the cabinet. Hence, as your equipment evolves, so does your ability to position cables!
Compatible with base set
The extension kit is fully compatible with the Nexpand base set, which can raise the Nexpand cabinet by 100 mm or 200 mm. This compatibility allows you to futureproof all aspects of your cabinet design.
Flexible accessory installation
The Nexpand frame offers unique flexibility with a stepless mounting approach to accessory installation. This adjustability means you can place our accessories at any location within the frame posts to meet your exact needs. This flexibility has also been incorporated in the extension kit.
Compatible with all door options
Removing and remounting doors in a Nexpand cabinet is a simple process thanks to our smart door design; the same principle applies to our extension kit. Remove your glass, perforated or blind door from your frame and use it in the extension kit.
