How does containment support higher rack densities?

Containment improves thermal efficiency by separating hot exhaust air from cold supply air. This prevents recirculation , allowing cooling systems to deliver air at the intended temperature directly to IT equipment. 

By maintaining stable inlet temperatures, containment enables higher power densities per rack while reducing the risk of hotspots. More efficient airflow management also reduces the total volume of air required to remove heat, improving overall cooling system performance.
