RESPONSIble Purchasing

To respond to the Legrand Group’s main issues in terms of corporate social responsibility (CSR), one mission of the Group Purchasing Department’s policy is to "Ensure that long-term, balanced, and mutually beneficial relationships are established and developed with its suppliers as part of a clearly defined relationship".

To achieve this, the Group Purchasing Department relies on a Quality Management System (QMS) that provides the foundation for the relationship with suppliers regardless of their location. ISO 9001 certified since 2007 for its European sites and for Turkey, the Group Purchasing Department is planning to gradually extend this QMS outside of Europe.

The Legrand Group's responsible purchasing approach is one of the key elements structuring its overall CSR strategy. The involvement of suppliers in tackling Legrand's CSR issues is supervised by a sustainable purchasing project leader at the Purchasing Department.
