A willingness to meet and discuss, and for
transparency of information
To ensure transparency and discussion, Legrand has undertaken to submit the Group's sustainable development progress to external analysis. The internal management tools are gradually getting closer to the international standards and reference systems of the various rating agencies. The communication tools are changing to meet the requirements of all the stakeholders.

2011-2013 ROad map
Following on from the first set of Sustainable Development objectives set for the 2007-2010 timeframe, the Legrand Group is today defining a 2011-2013 roadmap which is detailed on the following pages. We shall be reporting on their progress each year.
Steering the process
The Sustainable Development and Quality Department, which reports to the Strategy and Development Department, is responsible for steering Legrand's Sustainable Development process. Its mission is to direct the process, monitor its application, provide its expertise in the context of projects and be involved in raising awareness internally and externally. To achieve this, it works with the Group's management departments (HR, risk management, communication, purchasing, industrial teams, etc.) and the operational divisions. The Steering Committee meets around three times a year to monitor the process and validate the strategic guidelines. It is chaired by the Chairman and CEO and led by the Sustainable Development and Quality Director.
