Legrand's CSR strategy is based on strong interaction with the Group's stakeholders. These stakeholders include users (whether they are specifiers, installers, or end customers), suppliers and subcontractors, the Group's employees and union organisations, its partners, and the society that surrounds it. The aim is to pay attention to their expectations in order to provide an appropriate response in an atmosphere of dialogue and shared progress.

Structuring the dialogue

The structuring of Legrand's dialogue with its stakeholders is based on its historic involvement with players in the electrical sector and its culture of social dialogue and discussion with local communities.

The activities of the subsidiaries and functional departments of the Group are part of an approach involving reciprocity and dialogue with their customers, suppliers, employees and partners. This approach favours knowledge-sharing and dialogue.

8 CSR stakeholders

Legrand maintains an up-to-date detailed mapping of its stakeholders. Mapping involves identifying the expectations of Group stakeholders, defining the responses the company might provide and setting up procedures for dialogue and directions for improvement. This detailed mapping has been created for the eight main stakeholders in Legrand's business and growth:
