07.05.2010Legrand: prize-winner at the 2010 Old Age Awards
Legrand won the prize in the "Home - Environment" category at the recently held Old Age Awards, which seek to reward the most outstanding initiatives towards enhancing the quality of life of older people. It received the prize for its lighting path solution, designed to ensure the safety of night-time movements around the house (e.g. between bedroom and bathroom) by the use of motion sensors for automatic lighting along the way.
This reward comes as recognition of Legrand's know-how in fostering Assisted Living solutions. The Group expresses its commitment in this field especially through its training programmes and contributions to European research projects, as well as by providing adaptable solutions to compensate for reduced autonomy and afford greater comfort and safety. The overarching aim being to make it easy and natural for people to stay living a high-quality life at home.
